AG-ODOR Orange Juice was originally developed as an agricultural product aimed at eliminating livestock and poultry production odors. AG-ODOR Orange Juice was a resounding success. The product far surpassed estimated effectiveness. Through continued research and testing Odor Solutions Group, the parent company, discovered that AG-ODOR Orange Juice is an effective insecticide, chrome and stainless steel cleaner, automotive deodorizer, eliminates cat litter and dog waste odors, removes mal odors from the water in portable toilets, destroys odors caused by sewage and much more. AG-ODOR Orange Juice is derived from the oil found in orange peels. It is a cold-press custom blended formula that is biodegradable and non-toxic. In fact the product meets FDA-GRAS (generally recognized as safe) standards.
On the Farm
Boeckmann Farms of Loose Creek, Missouri, tested and successfully implemented the use of AG-ODOR Orange Juice into its turkey confinement buildings. AG-ODOR Orange Juice was applied to the brooder house that contained a six-inch layer of shavings/litter. The solution was mixed at a ratio of 6 quarts of AG-ODOR and 250 gallons of water. The mixture was sprayed on top of the litter using a tractor-mounted sprayer. The treatment achieved immediate reduction in ammonia levels that were sustained for approximately 3 days. According to owner Chris Boeckmann, "The ammonia was nearly undetectable; yet the orange aroma was barely evident as well. This would seem to indicate that this concentration and treatment level are the level at which a "neutral" aroma is achieved. A slightly stronger solution would probably result in orange aroma, if that is desired." This same treatment has been repeated to verify that these results prove consistent. As an agricultural odor solution AG-ODOR Orange Juice is cost effective and easy to handle.
AG-ODOR Orange Juice is a very effective chrome and stainless steel cleaner and brightener. During testing the product was mixed at 1 oz of product with 32 oz of water. Applied to stainless steel and chrome sink fixtures, via spray bottle, the AG-ODOR left the fixtures bright and clean. Additionally a pleasant orange aroma existed. Unlike other cleaning products, the aroma is natural and long lasting. No unpleasant chemical odor existed. Repeated use left no residue and continued to produce spectacular results. Additionally, the product displayed sanitizing properties. Sinks and fixtures were not only clean but also sanitized.
Recently AG-ODOR Orange Juice was mixed at 1 oz of product to 64 oz of water and applied under the seats of a car. The AG-ODOR left a very pleasant orange aroma and eliminated residual cigarette odors. The treatment lasted approximately 4 days before dissipating beyond recognizable levels. Also, the product was tested on the chrome bumper of a new model pickup. The bumper chrome was left bright and clean. No residual effects were noted in either case.
The basic elements of the AG-ODOR mixture and the orange oil make it a great insecticide. The product was tested on a new home in Arizona. The home had a severe problem with crickets on the back porch. The AG-ODOR was applied to the edges of the cement pad and to all spacing cracks running through the pad. In the first 24-hour period a noticeable reduction in the presence of crickets was evident. After a second application virtually no crickets were identified. However, due to its biodegradable properties AG-ODOR did require a weekly application to keep the cricket levels at or below current levels. It is important to note that AG-ODOR is non-toxic and biodegradable, thus it will not harm the surrounding areas. At the same location the yard area in the back of the house was not landscaped and many anthills were present. The AG-ODOR Orange Juice was mixed at 1 pint per 1 gallon of water and applied directly to selected anthills. After 24 hours it was noted that the anthills, were the product was applied, were abandoned. Testing is continuing to determine if a broad application is feasible. Further testing at the same location indicated that when applied to the base of the house, a noticed reduction in pests was noted. AG-ODOR was applied to the base of trees and again a noted reduction in ants was noted. Weekly maintenance applications have produced consistent results.
Portable Toilets
Odor Solutions Group has recently joined with a leading supplier of portable toilets. The goal of the venture is to determine the feasibility of adding AG-ODOR Orange Juice to the “blue water” in portable toilets. Preliminary crude testing, using animal waste in plain water, indicates that AG-ODOR Orange juice is very effective at eliminating the odors produces by waste products. It is estimated that a correct ratio of AG-ODOR Orange Juice will eliminate the foul odors associated with portable toilets and public use facilities. The possibilities of this application are limitless. Imagine using a public portable facility that smells pleasant and continues to stay odor free for an extended period of time. It is possible that in the near future AG-ODOR Orange Juice will be added to RVs, airplanes, campgrounds and any many other portable facilities.
Pet Odors
AG-ODOR Orange Juice is very effective at removing or eliminating odors produced by pet waste. For Dogs, when spray on fecal matter and urine stained areas the smell is eliminated. For felines, when used in-between litter changes it eliminates both the ammonia odor and the methane odor associated with cat waste. AG-ODOR Orange Juice was applied to a cat stain on new carpet. Prior to application the odor permeated the entire surrounding area, after application the odor was eliminated and no residual odor was noted. It important to note that the stain and discoloration were not removed, however, cleaning the stain after the application of AG-ODOR made the task more acceptable and pleasant for all involved.
